Lord Jagannath!..and Palmistry

So,finally I am writing something on the blog today....and I know Lord Jagannath is making me write!....So,yesterday i.e Sunday 30th th July 2006 went to Birmingham for second Rath Yatra of my life,though I intended not to go but it was purely Lord Jagannath's mercy or should I amazing invitation from Lord Jagannath....!

Just on Saturday eve,Deenbandhu prabhu called me if I could make it,and co-incidently I was reading Bhagwatam Canto 10 part in which Kamsa was repenting and was saying to Vasudev and Devaki about importance of providence!Of course,Lord Jagannath is the "writer" of providence !Out of him three modes of material nature manifest but he is beyond three modes!
Moving on,Birmingham Rath Yatra was really good and now one thing I clearly remember is "Deity of Lord Jagannath Himself"!Wow!...I pulled the Lord's cart for sometime and enjoyed it...and begging him to come into my heart(Vrindavan) ,of course Lord is in our heart but due to the dust which has accumulated in our heart in our previous births,we have forgotten this only eternal relationship...Hmm..besides of course relishing my eyes with Darshan of Lord Jagannath,Lord Baldeva and Subhadra...I really enjoyed "Jagannath Swami Nayan Path Gami,Nayan Path Gami Bhav Tumhe" sung by Jaydeva Swami...He really sung very very melodiously...I will always remember this second rath yatra....of my life!and with the mercy of Guru Maharaj Ganesh,I hope I will attend some more Rath-yatra's in years to come!


palimisty...-On Last friday i.e 28th july 2006,myself and Saroj went to Priya Radhika Mataji to show our hands...I have always been interested in astrology,palmistry etc and once deenbandhu prabhu told me that his wife is into it...,I was keenly waiting for her to return from India.what was amazing for me was that it was kinda inbuilt talent in her....palmistry came naturally to her..and she started making predictions when she was in class 7th-8th!Of course needless to say,she seemed to be pretty good and she told me things like-

1)At around age of 16,you had some health prob(I had typhiod)
2)You changed your place when you were between 18 to 21(I did bkn to mumbai)
3)She told me that I have a very long life-120 years possibilty but coz of Kali yuga -she said even if I deduct it will atleast around 90 years !
4)She said that I can't concentrate on one thing for long period of time-its like started something and the getting into some other thing after some time!...I think..its true also..most astro have told me...
5)Marriage -told me it will be late 26 or 27...might be 28 as well!...
6)3 children for sure-4th also possibility
7)That I will or take decisions from mind....not use heart!
8)Very much family oriented/attached...
9)Wife will be very faithful
10)Property in foreign /or foreign venture will be very good for me
11)At age of 32 immense profit or recognizition
12)Financially overall very sound
13)At age of 26 or 27 some disturbance(actually also remember chiranjee lal telling mom that dont give this boy car after 2006 as high chances of accident)...but she told me ..it has been known that all these kind of problem have been minimised/or completely removed...by lord for devotees..Of course ,I am not even "D" of a devotee..,I am just a fallen soul trying to "get up" with the mercy and guidance of Guru Mahraj Ganesha!
14)Health will be ok overall
15)She also told branching of mind line indicates you were in depression etc when you came ot manchester but now you are over it as line has darkened.(I think its true though I would not term it as depression but more of chaos in mind.That was the time when I got into Krishna Conciousness...I think KC totally overpowered my "depression" that time. )

This is all i can remember of what she said....!Lets c if her predictions turns out to be true...of course if by mercy of Guru Maharaj Ganesh,I become a humble devotee then all these things might prove wrong as Krsna himself takes charge of his devotees !

Btw all these with the mercy of Ganesh Maharaj and vaishnav devotees,I have started reading Canto-10!I am also reading a very very well written book called "Revival" by Radha Gopinath Temple Devotees .This book provides vedic alternatives for Youth

Ambarish Maharaj...the exalted devotee

This friday Prem Niketan Prabhu spoke on verse 61-66 Chapter 2.He gave the example of Ambarish Maharaj from whom we can learn the actual activities of a devotee.As stated in Bhagwatam Canto-9 chap 4 verse 18-20

"Mahārāja Ambarīsa always engaged his mind in meditating upon the lotus feet of Krsna, his words in describing the glories of the Lord, his hands in cleansing the Lord's temple, and his ears in hearing the words spoken by Krsna or about Krsna. He engaged his eyes in seeing the Deity of Krsna, Krsna's temples and Krsna's places like Mathurā and Vrindāvana, he engaged his sense of touch in touching the bodies of the Lord's devotees, he engaged his sense of smell in smelling the fragrance of tulasī offered to the Lord, and he engaged his tongue in tasting the Lord's prasāda. He engaged his legs in walking to the holy places and temples of the Lord, his head in bowing down before the Lord, and all his desires in serving the Lord, twenty-four hours a day. Indeed, Mahārāja Ambrisa never desired anything for his own sense gratification. He engaged all his senses in devotional service, in various engagements related to the Lord. This is the way to increase attachment for the Lord and be completely free from all material desires."

This is a very very special verse for neohyte and fallen souls like me.I have to learn how to engage my senses for krsna 's pleasure.I know this is just the beginning of my spiritual life and I am totally dependent on Guru Maharaj Ganesha and Vaishnava devotees who can help this soul in purifying his senses.

By the mercy of Ganesha Maharaj,I have finished reading 9 cantos and now of course dying to read and relish the "sommum bonnum"canto 10!I am also reading "A Transcendental Diary" by Hari Shauri Dasa ...its a very very well compiled diary .I am really amazed to read prabhupada's determination to spread Krishna Conciousness throughout the world.He really worked very hard for this ultimate cause.Also,some of the talks by prabhpada mentioned in this book are simply amazing!(simple yet profound!)

I dont know for the past two months dont feel like studying..its just business and Krishna Conciousness.I dont know how I am going to do my dissertation.I am feeling as if Lord Ganesha is guiding me to behave the way I am.I totally depend on his mercy.(May be I dont want to study so I might be giving this excuse..but I seriously do bel this..anyways only time will tell whether its my mental cocoction or its the truth!)

Advanced Civilization????

Today a thought is provoking my thinking again and again..this was ignited by Mumbai Blast today!.....We call that we are an advanced civilization...yeah advanced when it comes to bomb blasts,natural disastors,depression...etc etc...Even if I think about time 150 years back,although we were not so called "advanced" but we were little better than what we are today!

And obviously the root cause of all the problems is our bodily conception of existence!Until and unless we dont understand that we are spiritual identities ,all these disastors will keep on mounting...We can keep on organising meetings,forums etc to solve these problems...but these will not result in anything !apart from Frustration...Now ,I understand there is a urgent urgent need of Krishna Conciousness(love for God)....Srila Prabhupada did his best to serve the mankind in best possible way..by reviving Krishna Conciousness..

I do wonder at times that if this is just the start of Kaliyuga and Golden Period of Kalyuga(10,000 years after birth of Chaitainya Mahaprabhu).....then what will be the latter part of Kaliyuga..!I am thinking that people who lost their bodies today were they KC?were they thinking of Krishna or Lord ??If they were not..they lost a golden opportunity ..given to us by god to revive God conciousness...

"yam yam vapi smaran bhavam tyajaty ante kalevaram
tam tam evaiti kaunteya sada tad-bhava-bhavitah"(Bhagwat Gita-Chapter8 Verse-6)


"Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, that state he will attain without fail"



Obviously this thing might happen to me one day as well.....but I beg my spiritual master Lord Ganesha to give this fallen soul intelligence to remember Krishna all time,each and every second of this temporary material existence....

I also beg my spiritual master Lord Ganesha to enable me to spread this God conciousness to people around me...and save us from useless material existence...and awaken our krishna conciousess...which is our eternal dharma......our only purpose....

Friday discourse by Vrijenderalal Prabhu

Yest(friday) bhagwat gita discourse by vrijenderalal prabhu was really good.I am so unfortunate that I cant even recall the whole (main ) lecture.However,some of the points that really struck me are-

1.Even Krishna wants to be a servant(he wants to serve his devotees) ,then why we are so adamant to lord over nature!We want to boss over the world....We have loads of false-ego...We dont want to surrender to Krishna(who is the lord of this creation) ,who himself is sooo merciful to his devotees that he can do anything for them!

2.We need to surrender ourselves to a bonafide guru and remember him atleast three times for his mercy(Guru Maharaj Ganesh Ki Jai!!)

3.We should always remember the "aim " of our chanting.It means why we are chanting?whats the purpose?This is not to say that you become greedy for the result but actually it will help you concentrate better and relish the nectar.

I can remeber these main points.Hope some more points I can recall.
